 Its safe to say that virtually every non-profit entity in America wants or has at least one lawyer on its board. But how many lawyers know much if anything about non-profit entities? Do you even know what questions to ask, much less what the answers should be, when you're on a non-profit's board? Are you even sure that your non-profit qualifies as a non-profit entity in your state? And what about the IRS and its requirements? This course reviews the fundamentals of nonprofit law including organization, director liability and duty, and basic tax implications.
